I have him in my 55g with 8 guppies and 1 African Brown Knife. I was told by my supplier that this setup would be ok. I'm sure he's been fighting with the brown knife. I know the knife can be semi aggressive but what I don't understand is why is the knife fighting or even stressing the guppies...
My Gourmi looks like he has been in the fight of his life and has some pretty bad fin damage. However, he is still able to swim around. I am wondering if I put him in my qt tank will he recover?
I was in Walmart yesterday and I was so shocked to see the the employee was having such a hard time getting the fish out for the customer that the customer had to take over and get it themselves. I have read other threads of that happening and really didn't believe it until I saw it for myself. WOW!
IMO the best thing to do is wait until night time turn off all the lights except the tanks light of course. Set your camera's app to it widest this is normally the lowest number 2.8 or lower is better. Adjust the shutter speed accordingly and that will give u the best pic ur cam can take. One...
I've been feeding the tank 3 time daily because I also have a African brown knife and a powder blue Gourmi. I feeding to make sure they are eaten and so far so good.
One added note if you are going to buy from the chain store go look at the fish as soon at the store opens. This is so they don't have time to hide their sick fish in the large tank they have In the back.
IMO the beat thing to do is look around for the healthiest fish. When I am looking to make an addition to my tank I look at the mom and pop store up the street and a couple petsmarts and a couple petco's. There have been times that I have found sick fish at each store so I look for fish...
