I have some scuds in my tank, no idea how they got there, they must have hitchhiked on some plants I bought. I actually quite like watching them. They are pretty small, the adults are just over a 1/4 inch, so they probably wouldn't survive in anything other than an invert only tank.

I would probably go with at least 100 watts of light for a tank that big, 200 would be better, but would be pretty hard to do with clip on CFL lights.

Sorry don't really know what to tell you. I am just getting started with shrimp myself, and only have Cherry red shrimp, don't know much about orange bee shrimp. I don't think it would be possible for a CRS to molt while berried since they molt just before breeding, not sure about your shrimp...

not the dark part right behind the head. The yellowish green part behind that is the saddle, its kind of shaped like a horse saddle.

#1 has a saddle, so def female. 2 and 3 are harder to tell, my guess is 2 is male and 3 is female. They look pretty young, it will be easier to tell when they are older.

I can't see anything in the pic, but its probably a scud/gammarus, which is a really small fresh water shrimp. I have quite a few of them in my tank which hitchhiked in on something. They don't seem to bother my cherry red shrimp at all, and are kind of fun to watch, so I left them in there...
