Thisis a little clearer, i think. It is a redish purple anemone (i assume) with a small white spot where the tentacles meet. Each tentacle has "fingers" going al the way up....

I always have in my home aquariums. They both can be fin nippers but the barbs are to fast for the angels and the angels are usually tougher. They work well together. Throw in some cardinals and thats a cool community.
much like baking cooking, if you mess with it to much you will ruin it. Take your time and let the system contro itself. But watch that filter, change it every month if you can. :wink:

While I wouldn't recommend it either, the lemons would most likely be ok in that tank if you set it up with lots of good rock structure. Check into Malawi setups to see what I mean.
Give it time. I'm not a big fan of additives, I know they can help speed things up a bit but there is nothing like time and a well planned/developed system to provide a naturally safe environment for you fish. Wait it out, i know its hard.

We breed a few of these and have never had any trouble mixing rams and cockatoos together in grow out tanks or service account tanks.
I like carbon. I have heard all of these rumors but never seen any good evidenve to back it up. It does make the water super clear and does the job fo ammonia too. We have hundreds, sometimes thousands of fish, and our fish are always healthy. But everyone has their own opinion i guess... :roll:
Yes, I have better luck with cardinals too. Neons like to have places to hide so dont forget to give them a place to get away from prowlers. It could be your supplier to...or your suppliers supplier. They do some serious stuff to fish nowadays to increase birthrates and growth rates. Since neons...
