Well all of my fish have died even though I was trying to treat the problem so now what do I do to get rid of this before I put any other fish in the tank

I just started a new tank about a week and a half ago and put some rocks that were a little bit live and also 17 pounds of rock that was really live with purple i have a can filter 750 powerhead 45 gallon tank i was looking today and some of the rock looks black is there any suggestions or help...
I checked the ammonia today and it is at 1.0 ppm wondering if i should take the shrimp out and i also have live sand and live rock in there to. It is a 45 gallon tank with can filter.
I have started the cycle on my tank 4 days ago with the dead shrimp theory know i am getting green algae built up on the silicone that hols the tank together in all 4 corners is this normal
So i put my dead shrimp in the tank last night to start the cycle on my 45 gallon with 360 can filter by marineland with a little wet rock and live sand so do i still need to do weekly water changes while thats in there
Ok i just went and got a pretty big shrimp and threw it in the tank so here we go i guess its just a waiting game now any other suggestions for me i appreciate all your help
For filtration i have the marineland 360 canister with filter pad ceramic rings boi balls carbon then sponge and since i have that little bit of sort of live rock i can still put the shrimp in there without hurting anything and also do you test until the ammonia is completly gone then it means...
