Hello Aiken. I actually bout 5 new fish. 3 black tetra and 2 firemouth cichlids.
So far all 5 are doing well. Should I test the water once a week or more often?
Thanks
Hello guys. Thanks for all your help again.
Here are my results of today.
PH - 6.6, Ammonia 0PPM, NItrite 0PPM, Nitrate 20PPM
Is it fish time??
Thanks.
@NayaVe I will not change my filters. Thanks. @fishwonder Should I check the water before adding and removing water? Doing this tomorrow. I also heard that getting some live plants will help.
I am going to need patience. On Wednesday I will change 50% of water and change my three filters, put in API water conditioner and then test on Thursday. Does this sound right? I might lose my patience after this.
Good morning! @fishwonder
PH - 6.6, Ammonia - 2.0-4.0 PPM, Nitrite - 0.25 PPM, Nitrate - 5.0 PPM
Didn't really read if the results are normal. Maybe I should do that.
Both fish are doing well. What are my next steps on getting new fish next weekend? How often should I do water changes?
Okay guys. Here we go! New tank and now with the stuff! I put the API water conditioner. Heater in. Temp about 70. Anything else before I put my 2 fish back???
So. Basically. Fill the tank up, put the API water conditioner and filters and stuff an add the old fish after testing the water? Does the water have to sit for 24 hours?
