    Weak Guppies

She died, only the male is left now, and he is as energetic and happy as ever.

    Weak Guppies

The tank was cycled though, I cycled it before I bought them. Also, the water is fine. She has clamped fins and is not laying on the bottom of the tank, tilted on her side and breathing really really hard.

    Weak Guppies

I have a 5 gallon tank with 2 female and a male guppy. (Fry if there were some would have been removed to another tank) I bought them approximately 4 weeks ago. One of them is already dead, it was on the bottom and it's spine was crooked, bent to about 90 degrees. The other female is swimming...

Zebra Danio- Covered with clear stuff, pine coning, otherwise fine

If it helps, it kind of appears that the fish is growing another layer of scales, but the new ones are clear and aren't lying down.

Zebra Danio- Covered with clear stuff, pine coning, otherwise fine

I have a 55 gallon, with 6 zebra danios, 5 peppered cories, a small oranda (4 inches and temporary) a pearl gourami and 2 ottos. One of the zebra danios, who's the biggest, is acting fine but is covered in clear slime. The slime covers it's body, from behind the gills, to the base of the tail...

    Finishing the Stocking 55g

I thought black skirt tetras would nip. I really do like them but I was worried that they might chase my pearl gourami.

    Finishing the Stocking 55g

I want to add a couple more fish to my 55 gallon planted tank. I want a smaller shoaling fish, preferably a silverish, black or white color. All my fish are small and grey and I like that it makes the tank look natural. I have in the tank right now, 6 zebra danios, 5 peppered cories and a pearl...

Before the 5 gallon? I got him from my piano teachers husband.

    Goldfish in tropical tanks

He's six inches long and can barely turn around :/

    Goldfish in tropical tanks

Would it be ok to have my goldfish in a tropical tank for a few weeks while it's own tank is cycling? The tank is at 76 degrees. It would probably be for 2 weeks. I have it in a 5 gallon but I feel sorry for it. Could I move it?

    How many cories?

Lol, I'm not sure they would care much if you had a really quiet house or they were somewhere really calm. Mine are in pairs/alone until something scares them (coughsistersough) and then they huddle together for a few minutes before splitting up again.

    How many cories?

Hi! I was wondering how many cories you should keep together. Some websites say you should get a group of 5 at least, some people say you should have a trio or pair. Do you think the more the merrier? And what do you say about mixing different types? I love my peppered cories, but I would love...

    Dissent in the ranks :-(

Mine grows pretty fast, I accidentally got a piece that was 3" long and now in total I probably have about 4 feet of it floating around/being tied to a rock/stuck to the filter intake.

Hm... maybe you can get 2-3 fish at a time and slowly add to fill in the schools.

    Little clam thing

Ok, well I gave it to my sister and she's keeping it in a really tiny Betta tank with a rock and a snail, and she loves it... (that probably has nothing to do wih the fact she thinks is a "pearl chocolate striped clam" I bought for $40...) Also if it helps it moves around kinda well with a foot...
