I believe you are correct! To clarify my procedure though, the canister went on the new 60g. with cichlids' seeded media. I didn't get a canister for the brackish puffer 45g tank. It is a Ram's Horn Snail, not a "snake." They usually come into a tank with plants. You can smash them before they start rapidly reproducing, and the fish will eat them.

Danios have been with them since the cichlids were 1.25", to make the cichlids come out from hiding. They really don't bother each other. Will keep an eye out, though.
