Just wondering if anyone has tried bactershield for early signs of columnaris? Just lost a sword tail in a 16 hour period and now the other female has 2 tiny spots on her tail and the male has a small amount of white around his mouth. I'm treating my 20g as directed now.

I think it's just that the brine shrimp are a tad big for the gourami. The tank cycled for about a month. I did fishless with ammonia. All the other fish are fine so I'm not too worried. Just thought it was funny to see.

Now the question is, do i treat the whole tank or quarantine the swordtails and treat them alone?

Haha. Fun fact. But no flashing I've seen and I've been watching for an hour or so. She is moving no more than a few millimeters from the surface and dosent stray any deeper. All the other fish seem fine including the two other swordtail.

And the stuff on the surface is just tiny bubbles from my bubble wall

DavidAl, I'm not familiar with flashing. Please explain. And Shellieca, it's hard to tell from where I'm sitting, but the spot may be a little fuzzy.
