I just got a new tank and i'm thinking of putting two puffers in there but i've only ever had freshwater tropical tanks and have no idea what a brackish tank involves.
What sort of home do puffers like and how easy is it to keep a brackish tank? How do I monitor the salt level and what temp...
Here is a not very good pic of my 4ft tank, i'm not sure exactly how many gallons it is by my rough calculations, i'm guessing around 58gallons.
In the tank I have:
2 Black Widow Tetras
2 Female Guppies
1 Rainbow Shark
2 Clown Loaches
1 Male Paradise Fish
2 Angel Fish
1 Albino Cory
1 Peppered...
I think the tank is 58g from my calculations - could be wrong, it is 4ft, we don't use gallons here in Australia  the LFS woman told me that it would be sufficient for this size tank, but they have been VERY wrong before so....
Thank you so much!!! I saw him in the tank at the LFS and fell in love with him, i'm glad I only got one though! Wouldn't like them to fight to death!! "scary"

I just got home with a new Paradise fish, it is the first time i've ever owned one. I put him in the tank and he is just sitting near the top of the water and hasn't moved for a few hours. Is the water too hot for him? It is 80degrees
Any info on what I can do is much appreciated as I love him...

Is...
Thanks guys, like I said i've never had this issue before, but i've only ever had smaller tanks.
I don't really do a "proper" cycle because i've never had any issues with how I do it. I've put some gravel and water in from my other tank and added a couple of fish, a molly and a guppy. It looks...
Hey guys
I've had a small 40litre (i'm from australia! don't know gallons) tank for a while now and when I set it up had no problems at all. Last week I got a brand new HUGE (for me) 4foot tank that is around 280litres (I think) and the water is cloudy.
I've never had this issue before and...
Hi guys
I'm mainly here because my fav aquarium forum seems to be down and I have a question but it looks like a great place so will no doubt be sticking around :)
I have had a small 40litre tank for a while now with mainly guppies and a betta in it and have just got a big 4foot tank, for...
