Problem Solved It turns out that one of my Heaters had gone "weird". That would also explain why it did it when I turned everything off. it was the heater heating and cooling and expanding etc.... I took that heater out and put an EBO in it's place. I haven't heard the sound since. What a...

I Have some angels / Comets / danios. But it was doing it after the first fill but before the fish. I have some time tonight to really get to the bottom of the sound. So that is what I am going to do. I will keep you all posted.

It is a brand new tank/2" square tube steel stand built by a pro here in Calgary who built my 180 a long time a go. (whom I don't have access too anymore because he has gone wholesale :( ) I have decided not to worry about it as I have had 180's tilt etc and never had a problem. The only reason...

it was built with a 120-150 in Mind, It's 1 1/4" Square tube steel. Can the stand bend a significant amount to cause problems in the aquarium, and if so why would the noise be random?

The stand rocked a bit diagonally 1/8th - 1/4 inch before I Put the tank on it and filled it. There is foam between the tank and stand now. and it doesn't really rock at all anymore. Mind you there is 1400lbs on the stand now. Didn't fix the rock in the stand, Just assumed it would level itself...

at this point what would be the best way to check if it is diaganally torqued. And it is definitely not he light. It does it anytime night or day and did it before I even had the lights on the tank.

It is Freshwater Planted, I quick Cycled it with media from my other tank so yea there is fish in it. It clicked with or without fish, I am not sure if it is just the top expanding and contracting, or if it's the stand or the aquarium itself.
