I love all fishing I recently had a chance to fish in the ocean caught all kinds of stuff king mackeral purple and white crab of some sort and these pesky catfish but mostly bass fish or fish with TEETH MUSKY PIKE etc. Also welcome to the site

Less then a month and nitrates right now are below 5.0 ppm

No farms withen a couple hundred miles I live in a suberb of DETROIT

So why then are my fish dieing off all my cories (6) one of my killies I never had a nitrate prob till about 3 weeks ago when I sprung a leak always had readings of 0 on all tests except p.h 7.6 I think I got it down but for how long I dont know current readings as of right now nitrates below...

Well still having a nitrate problem doing 80% pwcs every other day is there anything else I can do naturally to lower them I went and bought some hornswart I think thats what its called because someone told me these love nitrates and will naturally lower nitrates any other ways of lowering...

I had a green phantom pleco I named shrek

Dang I have a 120 gallon tank and it sprung a leak so I went and resealed the whole tank and changed substrate from gravel to black sand I started a the cycle process over nitrates spiked and I lost alot of fish but I caught it and if you do large daily water changes it will make it much easier...

I have a aquaclear 110 and a magnum 350 canister

They LOVE NIGHT CRAWLERS I had a 2 ft or so tire track and thats all he would eat is night crawlers

Tire track eels get huge also go with the peacock it will stay small
