On the topic of Angels, I bought three "small angels" from my LFS. I was wanting Angels (normal), and figured that small angels would suit better. Is there such a thing as "small angels" that stay small, or is it some more LFS lies to sell.

Well I got my lighting fixed today and replaced the old bulb with a 20w, 18000K, Aqua-glo bulb. I also picked up three small angels (albino, dalmation and stripped), and three red velvets (two F, one M) to add to the tank. They fit in fine and had no problem getting their fair share of food...

I am creating a tube cave like so many others have by the looks of it, and am wondering about a few things. Is it okay to use ABS instead of PVC, and is it alright to use contact cement to attach the rocks. Thx.

Im replacing the bulb tomorow (I live outside the city) anyways because it needs it. If the bulb doesn't stop flickering at the store, then I'll do the starter. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies, hard to find a nice forum these days. I was replacing the bulb this week (as soon as I found out how long the spectrum lasts, on this forum) and as soon as it started to flash, I wondered about the starter. I think Ill take the hood into the store, and check both. Thanks.

Hello, I have been reading through your site, and I have a question to ask. The bulb on my 29 gal freshwater tank started flashing rapidly. Is this because the bulb needs to be replaced (it is an old bulb, about a year and a half), or is it the starter that needs replacing. Also, what color...
