Thanks guys, I'll definitely go that route. The filter that contained the carbon was brand new so I'm assuming that it has probably removed a good portion of the copper.

hmmm... I must be thinking of something else. Well, whatever the brand, it was copper that I added to the tank this morning before going to work. As far as a hyposalinity treatment, what should the SG be at, and how long do you do the treatment for (its a dip, right?)

I have a niger trigger that I just recently acquired and he appears to have ich. I qt'd him and put the Selcon in the tank (10g). However, I forgot to remove the carbon from the small HOB filter. Should I remove the carbon and put the med back in the tank?

I've noticed that during the day in my main tank, pods are are rarely ever seen. At night however, I see them everywhere- scurrying all over the rocks. You've probably got plenty, try taking a look after the lights have been out for awhile.

What about phosphates? Maybe you should add some macro to your fuge if you have one to help remove excess nutrients.

I've got Phoenix 250w HQI 14k's and there is definitely A LOT of blue, much more than i am used to from a bulb in that wavelength

Anybody know where I can find this? I remember seeing it awhile ago, it had a bunch of pictures of diff. brands of lights and diff. colors to get a feel for them all.

From a lot of the research that I have been doing, a tank's success lies more heavily on superb circulation rather than lighting. Just a thought!
