Hmm - not sure if the solution will work long term, but for what it's worth, I have seen a few YouTube videos of Mbuna tanks with Clown Loaches in them. Hopefully it works out. Wish you lived near me, I'd take those Clowns for my barb tank! :)

I went into the LFS just "to look around." All of us here know that we rarely leave with nothing! :D Finally found a Greshakei, so I couldn't pass him up! Also found a nice looking (m) Red Zebra for my females. I'm going to have to force myself to stay away from the LFS for a while!

I've always liked your tank set up Spoon! The sand makes it look that much better. Curious, what type of plants are those? I'm looking to add some real plants to my mbuna tank, but not sure what kind they won't eat! :)

If I had to guess, I would say yes! I'm jealous if it is. I really want one of these and can't find one! Nice looking fish either way.

I scrubbed them down with a hard-bristle brush then soaked them for a few hours in the tub. Rinsed them off and put them in. I've had them in there for about 2 weeks now and no issues so far (crossing fingers). I avoided anything that looked like it contained "metals" or "sparkled."...

Looks great Spoon. Sand is definitely nicer to look at!

Thanks again for the compliments. I added a few more rocks today. Also added 2 Yellow Tail Acei (Pseudotropheus sp. "Acei"). My Hongi is a camera-hog and managed to get himself in the pic as well. :p

I'm having a hard time finding different variety of mbuna to stock my tank with. I was browsing through a local Petco today whereas they only had 2 "mixed" African Cichlid tanks - no species specific tanks. Sadly, my selection has been limited to this point, so I'm hoping to find some...
