Does anyone have experience with these Spectralux LED T5 bulbs? I bought two t5 fixtures that came with these Spectralux 6500K BLUE bulbs. I was wondering why they are called "blue" when the light they emit looks yellowish. Do these "blue" bulbs cause algae growth?

I would just use some Novus polish compound and wash it out with soapy water.

Why do you want to lower the pH? I think it's best to leave the pH alone as long as the numbers are not way out of range. 6.5-8 is fine IMO.

I don't think pH of 7.8-8.0 will affect your fish as long as it's not a sudden and drastic shift.

Any ideas what you'll be stocking the 400g with?

I don't think there is much to it as far as logistics. Just figure out how you will maneuver it through the garage door and watch your step. Wrap it in bubble wrap just in case you guys bump it against something.

I wouldn't rely on Prime. Test the water after adding shrimp. If water parameters start to shift, do partial water changes until test results normal/stable.
