    3 gallon eclipse

Oh man, back to water changes with a bucket now...I've been so spoiled changing the water in my fraternity's 60 gal with a Python. This is going to stink! You guys think a betta, snail and shrimp would be overloading things? All I'd worry about is the snail dying and polluting up the place.

    3 gallon eclipse

I just purchased an all-in-one 3 gallon setup by Elipse - http://www.amazon.com/Eclipse-Gallon-Acrylic-Aquarium-System/dp/B000MVLEM0 . I've done the whole freshwater thing before, but had to get rid of my 36 gallon since I moved into dorm housing. I know how easy it is to overstock, so I came...

can i water change too often?

Another thing that would make it risky to change the water so frequently, in addition to pH and temperature swings, is the increased risk of letting contaminants into the tank. With increased changes, of course there is a greater chance for human error. Still shouldn't be too big of a chance...

    The best aquarium book.

It's probably nothing special, but I like my "Freshwater Aquariums for Dummies" book :) I like to have a book around just in case, because you can find a lot of bad bad information online. Book first, internet second :)

My Moneyworts are growing so tall...

This is going to be a complete noob question, but you can trim and then replant the trimmings? *is stupid*

    BioWheel slowing down!

Instruction manuals should just be eliminated to save paper...nobody reads them nowadays...

    Oh no! :(

I don't think the gouramis are female, as there seems to be a dominant onethat always goes after the other. The neon blue dwarf has staked out his territory, but apparently the flame dwarf has yet to learn the boundaries...I'm no expert, but I've just assumed they were both male. The betta...

    Oh no! :(

Well, I was about to go return Valentine to Petco, but I didn't feel like waiting for my car to warm up. So I took the gamble and gave Valentine a chance with my 2 gouramis 12 serpae tetras, black moor, amano shrimp and 2 botia loaches. Of course, my main worry was the gouramis. I must have...

    Oh no! :(

Unfortunately, that's not really an option. I am a college student living in an apartment, and although there would probably be room, it would just be too much to take care of in addition to the 36 gallon tank. Also, there is the issue of moving at the end of the year. It's already going to...

    Oh no! :(

Wouldn't that stress it out though from being right next to the gouramis? I mean, if he's constantly flaring at them I would imagine it would be so...

    Oh no! :(

How long do you think it would take to be able to see any potential problems? If they get along for 15 mins, would it be safe to assume that things are relatively safe? And great, I just realized that now I can't let my roommate's cat in the room. She's fine around the bigger tank, but I'm...

    Oh no! :(

My best friend just came over and gave me a Valentine's Day present...I don't why, since we're just friends, and it was a very nice thought, but she got me a red betta in a small vase :( I don't know what to do! I can't put it in my 36 gal because my gouramis will probably eat it up (or vice...

    snails! snails! snails!

A hermaphrodite cannot breed with itself. Anything that "breeds with itself" is actually asexual and has no sex.

    brackish tank?

You could have saved yourself from typing an additional 2 letters if you said "4" instead of "for". Also, if you didn't capitalize the "Y" you could have saved yourself from pressing shift.
