I picked up a pair of red fin stiphodon gobies today. I am wondering if there are people on this board that know how to properly care for them?
Since getting them I have removed my DIY CO2 and am pumping in air to keep the water oxygenated. I am looking at getting flat river stones for algae...
I didnt say it was the colour. I said it was black sand. That's what I have.
I let the bag sit in the water for 20 minutes, then gradually dipped the bag into the water to mix my water with the bag's water.
The snails were crawling on the sand and then just stopped moving.
Hi, I bought two nerite snails and they moved for half a day then didnt move. I have black sand. Could they choke on the sand?
Why would they just die?

I am having the same problem mostly on my pogostemon helferi. pale and weak new leaves. I have 3wpg on a 10 gal and a very low bioload (I only have 1 fish). From my readings it is a potassium deficiency.
Also, what type of plants are they?
i have a 10 gal with ~3wpg, aquaclear 30.
I am dosing what the bottle says "divide the number of gallons by 40 to obtain exact dose in MmL"
so 4 mL.
I am just going to do a bigger water change and then small water changes every other day to see where it will equalize.
