    Cichlid ID

@kay-bee19 : I see what you mean, the one with solid lines does look more of a torpedo shape. No broken lines whatsoever. The other one does look more robust and has the botched lines and I've noticed that he turns his color down a lot, almost not having black or faded black on his body. They...

    Cichlid ID

Are these real Electric Blue Johanni? I bought two of these in separate occasion from Petsmart. The reason I ask is because one does have solid horizontal lines going across his body and the other has broken lines looking kinda vertical. Also does anyone know how to sex these guys? Is the...

    Blue Crayfish bit my cichlid!!!

To be honest with you I wasn't aware that I needed cichlid mineral salt. Is it really necessary? And if so is it safe for plecos, crayfish and scale less fish? And I'll try to do more close water changes, hopefully he doesn't die. Sent from my SM-N910V using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Blue Crayfish bit my cichlid!!!

It's definitely the Crayfish. I've been checking on them every day and I actually recorded my fish yesterday and that fish didn't look like that. His forehead looks pinched as well. So you think his body will regrow? Sent from my SM-N910V using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Blue Crayfish bit my cichlid!!!

Hey guys I need some advice on what to do, today I woke up and turned on the lights from my tank to find my cichlid with top of his head partially eaten. I have a crayfish that has been molting and growing fairly quickly and has eaten a kholi loach so far. I'm guessing the fish was able to...

    Difficult lighting decision!!!

@lksdrinker: Well my budget was not going over two hundred and the Current usa satellite plus light went down to 113 for the 48"-60" so I just got it. When I have more money I'll probably buy a second one if need be. And I was thinking of building my own, saw a few diy on YouTube and seems...

    Difficult lighting decision!!!

Well I ended up getting the Current USA Satellite plus 48"-60" and I like it so far. I decided on this light just because of the customization and the ability to dim it down. Also because I won't be growing plants and don't want algae growth. So as for pros, the light is bright, fish do pop...

    Blue lobsters

I've had a few and I noticed that they do go for fish when they feel threatened. If you give them plenty of room and places to hide they will keep to themselves. Don't recommend having more then one tho. Oh and if you have live plants they will uproot them just because they can lol. Sent from...

    Difficult lighting decision!!!

@mambee: is it the 24/7 model or just the planted plus? I've read about both models and for what I want I think the 24/7 will be my best option between the two finnex. Sent from my SM-N910V using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Difficult lighting decision!!!

@Brookster123: I see what you mean but the satellite plus pro is way over budget for the 48" model. I'm trying to stay under 200. That's the only reason why I have the Finnex planted +24/7 and the current usa satellite plus. Sent from my SM-N910V using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Difficult lighting decision!!!

Hello, I have been breaking my head on deciding what light I should get for my 90 gallon tank. I've read everywhere about the differences but can't decide which light will be best. My tank is 24'' tall and have very few plants. I'm looking into getting the finnex planted plus 24 /7 or the...
