Anyone have any willow moss?
Been looking for a nice carpety type moss for my tank, I love the look of willow moss. Just wondering if anyone has any available and if so, for what price?
good idea about the classifieds thanks mgamer.
I'm still having a hard time making up my mind about the balls, my tank is small and I dont want anything particularly taking it over or anything...I also don't know if the algae might have any ill effects, I also read lots of debris hangs around...
willow moss looks pretty cool. But I've never seen it available anywhere...is there somewhere online to get it?
Oh and on the moss ball...so since it's algea (which I think the one at my LFS is...because it looks like a sponge ball rather than clumped java moss) I'm assuming its not...
So right now I have some guppies, tetras, ghost shrimp and a pink ramshorn snail. I also have HM and hygro (which if you hang around the classifieds you know I got from jnam)
I've been thinking of other plants to add...and I was thinking of maybe adding something mossy.
In your experience what...
I guess so....it just seemed nasty and I didn't want to add that to my tank. But it may very well be because the tank is absolutely filled with pants and its like 3 small tank glued together but the water goes between all three....and theres algea all over the sides of the tank. I've had the...
I picked up a pack after going to just look at some fish at this petco, I was looking at their plants and I don't know....there was so much black stuff on them....what is that?! It was just a big tank of plants...the only other plants they had were the ones sold already pre-packaged that say...
Anyone ever try the plant bulbs you can buy in store? You know the ones with just the lil bulbs in them it says to either plant a little under your substrate or let float...anyone try em? Have any luck?
well ive noticed a lot of people agree there are a million and one ways to do this hobby and some people have more luck in places that others. Looks like you may have gotten lucky! ^_^ I guess the only way to find out is to trY?
So I got a non submersible heater, I put the water a little above the water line. How important is it for the water to be at this line? Because my tank is like almost overflowing....
alright! Thank you so much for those suggestions joy. I quickly looked them up and read that clown plecos stop eating as much algea after maturity but that pitbulls are algea eating monsters. So I'm thinking I'mma go with the pitbull pleco! ^_^
so i went to the pet store today.
I checked out what plants and fish are available at this pet store (its the closest one to me)
the only plant i saw there that had a name that wasn't just bunch plants. was a sword, but it didn't say the type....
I saw a dwarf lilly bulb at walmart, but when i...
So I read a few things including the article on this forum about fishless cycling.
So should I cycle with or without my plants?
Also am I correct in assuming I wont add my algae eaters until the cycling is complete correct?
Then after letting them settle in slowly add in more fish
I was planning on doing fishless...in fact I heard its better to let your tank settle with just the plants for a least a few weeks before adding fish...is this correct?
