I am curious about this thread, because my sword has developed black spot issues. All the other plants seem okay, but the sword is covered with them and the edges of the leaves are turning black. I googled black spot algae and the pics I found on the Anubias were exactly my problem. Not sure...

I noticed this on the page... The ferts require a LOT of manual labor on my part. So orders may not be shipped out quickly. Does he tend to take a while? I figured that more plants would be less algae since higher lifeforms generally out compete lower ones. Thanks again

I really like the driftwood, and it is a very nice tank. You may want to consider less symmetry though and do 2/3:1/3 weighting on the rocks and plants. Just an idea... It will give a you a stronger focal point.

I currently have one male gourami in the tank, and he seems to be only a little bit territorial. My pandas bowl him over when he gets too pushy so I don't think he will get out of control. Will he be okay alone or should I consider a female? I would rather not add another if he can be happy...
