Hi. I have a 65 gal cichlid tank. Ive had the tank now for a couple of months and I feel like I need to do a 50% water change. The tank is getting cloudy like when I first put my sand in. (Unwashed sand, what a mess). When I do I was planning on using my well water. However it will be cold...

I had someone just tell me that I needed to add salt to my 65 gal cichlid tank. What the heck? I had never done that before. Is this something I need to look at and why?
I currently have two Fluval heaters. One is a 200 watt and the other is a 300 watt. They were running fine and now they aren't heating very well. They keep showing LF and they also show that they are over heating then under heating. Need help. I have tried to reboot them (unplug them) but...
