Hey all, A friend of mine needs to get rid of this guy. I have a 55 gallon tank with some rainbows, dwarf gouramis, julii cories and a pleco. 1) Can I take him home with me? 2) What is it? I also have a 36 gallon bow front which is empty. Can he go in there?

We shall see. I have lots of hiding places so hopefully they can share.

Wow I'm a bad reader. You totally mentioned that... On that note my false julii corrys are doing just fine with about a 50-60% dose of salt in my tank. Can anyone verify if that's still too much?

I had a case of ich and all I did was add a proper dosage of freshwater aquarium salt. The ich was gone in 3 days. From what I've read here the salt helps the fish fight it off. I guess it provides them the right nutrients and the like.

You think my rainbow will be ok with my corries down the road? They're about 1.75 or 2 inches full grown. Ive had em for 2 or 3 years now. The rainbow is still young at the moment.

DW? Ok I suppose I had a misconception about their boldness. I did know they get agressive especially when theyre older. I have a 50 gallon and a hollow log I figured he'd take over. I guess for now he's playing nice with everyone but he'll get territorial as time comes.

Sounds like a plan. My gut says the protein remains on the surface. Do I have to skim it off? Or will a regular middle of the tank syphin water change do the trick?
