I finished attaching the bottom with silicone and let dry for 48 hours. Then I filled with water and let it sit for 24 hours and glad to report there were no leaks !l

No already tested it out and no leaks. The water would have to get through 1.5" of silicone plus inside bead.

Here is a 150 gallon I got off Craigslist . It had a cracked bottom so I replaced it with plywood coated in pond shield . Hope this helps.

I would like to start with 5 " Discus but there so expensive at that size. Thanks for the advice.

Right now I have 5 about 3" so I want about 10-12 along with other discus friendly fish. For filter I plan on 2 canister filters and probably a Hob but not sure yet.

Does anyone have any experience replacing glass on an aquarium? I just bought a 150 gallon tank with 1/2 inch glass and I need to replace the bottom. Open to suggestions . Thanks.
