I have very steady and precise hands, so I thought I'd try to remove the "worm" looking thing. I was able to latch onto it with a small set of tweezers. It was FIRMLY attached, although the bubble around the "worm" did break. So I put the neon into my 5 gal hospital tank. Dosing with Tetra...
Thanks for the reply. I've had ich before, but it's doesn't look anything like any ich cysts I've seen before. It looks like a clear sack with a small grain of rice inside. I've never seen anything like it before.

Never had any issues with Neon Tetras before. Of course, I've only had them for 4 months now. Just noticed today that one of them has a white growth on his side near the tail. Looks like a worm or tumor. It's definitely not ich. I took the best pics I could get, but they are constantly swimming...
Yeah, I figured. I haven't seen a pond snail in my 75 for a couple weeks now. I still have a few MTS for sure though. I was thinking of keeping some pond and MT snails in my 5G, just to supply food to the assassins....just in case. My 55 has only MTS for now, but who knows as I order plants for...
I got assassin snails about 6 weeks ago, to knock down my pond and MT snail issue. Now I think they're my favorite thing in the tank. Then during a PWC I noticed little crystal like eggs all over my driftwood throughout the aquarium. I was excited! Hopefully I'll be able to see some little guys...
I use Seachem Phosguard in my Fluval 405, and API Phos-Zorb in my Filstar canister filter to remove silicates (and excess phosphates). Works like a charm.

If you go with Bolivians, be patient and find nicely colored ones, they do exist. I have one that is gorgeous, and he's still just a juvenile. Plus their personalities can't be beat in my opinion.

Basically transferred everything, except a Anubias and some driftwood. Bought an Amazon Sword and 5 Otos after the tank had been up and running for a week (had been storing extra media in my filter to transfer into my Fluval 405 and most of the substrate was direct transfer, so no cycle...
Thanks. I might just do that. Found out from my favorite employee at Petsmart, that they are having a 50% off sale on Black Friday on all aquarium setups. There is a 125 with stand and glass tops with my name on it for $330.
