    Cycle almost complete

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I want to add enough fish to feed enough ammo for the BB without overloading it all at once. I was thinking adding in Angels first. Thanks for the reply. I'll post some pics sometime soon.

    Cycle almost complete

Well, my new 90 gal freshwater tank is getting close to cycled. I'm turning 4ppm ammo in less than 12 hours. I went though the nitrate spikes, and are now coming in around .25 while nitrates are between 20-40. I did a 75% change with Prime added last night, dosed ammo to around 2ppm. NO2 and NO3...

I plan on filling and emptying the tank a few times Saturday morning, then filling it and starting my fishless cycle. I have spent a boat...

Thanks for your post. I wasn't planning on the bacteria in a bottle, but go with the ammonia method. I'm going to check with a LFS about getting some used filter media or gravel. Thanks again!

Does Eco Complete Planted Substrate help/hurt cycling

Working on getting a 90 gal freshwater tank rolling. I am planning on starting with artificial driftwood and silk plants to start as I am a total newbie. It was recommended by a LFS that if I want to eventually go planted, going with a plant substrate would save me from the hassles of switching...

    Chaulk up another Newbie!

Other than some half hearted attempts at 10 and 20 gal tanks when I was a youngster, I consider myself a complete newbie to freshwater aquariums. Now as a middle aged man, I am fulfilling a long time desire to have a nice large tank in my livingroom as a center piece to the decor, and well as...
