I just got a used 10g tank. Its not looking too good but I will be using it to hold fish so what ever. However the black rim on the bottom fell off and it looks kinds neat. Is it ok to remove the top part too, or should I but the bottom back on?

Here in Toronto there is a "green bin". Any garbage that smells or is wet goes in there. Like compost and dipers. Its a pain in the ***. Everything has to be sorted and taking the thing out is gross. I now have to think about where I am going to toss the stuff?!?!
Do you have a miter saw? If not you can get a "miter box". Iv seen them at the HD. Its a box with a few holes in it so you can insert your saw and cut the wood stright. Iv built a stand for a 20g out of 2x4 and a thin piece of wood. Its not wrapped in plywood because its a temp. setup. If you...
I use rubber dish washing gloves for handling fish, plants, food, etc. I cant put my hands in the tank without getting a rash so I use the full arm gloves linked above.
On my 20g I use a FilStar XP1. ITs a bit of a overkill but thats the way I do it :lol:
I also have a BioWheel 170 on a 20g. It works great. The only thing I hate is the noise and somethimes the wheel gets stuck.
My Pleco comes out when Im standing there but quickly dashes to the back glass if someone else comes in front of the tank. If you give him a while (1-2 months) it may start to come out more because it "knows" you better.
