Tell me about it. I think I had about a 4month period when all was great with my tank. All I had to do was just sit back and be memorized.

It doesn't help that glass tanks have a green tint to them. Starphire glass and acrylic doesn't have that green tint.

Yep, it's going to take you a days work to move that tank. Try not to fill the buckets with too much water, you probably don't want salt water splashing around in your vehicle while driving. Not to mention it will be heavier.

Ahhhh!! Samething happened to me. My auto-top off switch stuck and dumped a lot of water into my tank. My salinity level dropped. water was everywhere and my carpets got soaked. Good thing I hung my power stripes or a fire might of started. I said I wasn't go to use a top-off anymore also but...

Get glass and have the front piece of glass starphire and the rest of the tank regular glass. That way you will not have the green color tint of regular glass. Acrylic is nice because there is no green colored tint, it's light weight, and a good insulater, but expensive and prone to scratches...

A lot of people claim that test stripes are not as accurate as the "droplet" kind. Try Salifert test kits, they are highly recommended by other reefers and easier to read the test results, still "droplet"

If it's the same Iceprobe chiller I have it will not work for a tank your size. the Iceprobe has problems cooling my 14g tank so I also run a desktop fan that blows across the water surface. Try a fan before you buy an chiller. For a tank your size the chiller might cost $300+

After 2 hours or so after feeding how did the fish stomach look? Did it look like it just ate or starving? Cynaid caught fish will also die within a months time. They eat but their stomachs are jacked and it can't process the food for nutrients and they evently starve, but they still eat...
