my platties are sooo small its too hard to see males from females but there is one in the tank that seems aggressive to the others mostly to the littlest one :( the runt hides around the plants alot....does anyone know how old the platys have to be before they get their color..mine are mostly...

ok thanks...i know if i over feed ill regret it...i think ill cut back to twice a day and not three..

7 very small mickey mouse platies and a pelco...after i feed them and they figure out they arent getting any more they seem to forage on the floor looking for food that may have fallen...i feel sorry for them but i dont want to overfeed either for fear of the mess

im alittle confused as to how much to feed. i put a pinch of food in and the bubbler and filter manage to stir it up good and my fish chase after it and after about 5 minutes they have finally finished chasing down all the particles and then they hang out at the top like they are waiting for...

i dont see where under the heater would be a problem...

i had my bubbler under my filter and had to move it because it made the bubbles go everywhere and it resembled 7up in my tank...

the same thing happened to me when the guy at the pet store told me to lower my ph and gave me stuff to put in it...it seemed to be a algae bloom of some sort and i drained and cleaned everything and so far it hasnt returned..it looked like fog all over everything....

it already has like a pvc pipe in the hole...so i should leave that connected...i think i know what u mean...the hardware people will know thanks for your response..

hey, the pet store said they would give me a tank but its been drilled..is there any way to plug that hole up??

numbers are good..everything is 0 except for niteates-80 adding ammonia probably wont post til monday

ok thanks...what if tomorrow, my ammonia and nitrites are 0...do i do a water change? im alittle confused with whats next?

one more question...when you do a large water change...what is the best way to match the water temp of the water you are putting back in???

hello...my numbers look good i think...ph-same..ammonia-0....nitrites-0...nitrates-80...today i have a busy day so right now im going to dose ammonia to 4ppm and see what happens tomorrow...i hope thats ok..
