    I have two Hemicromis bimaculatus (jewel) , not a pair, in a 10 gallon tank. What I think is a male, he becomes extremely red when introduced to another same jewel, and after 20 min. of making nice and shimmying, he starts beating on her and shreds her fins. I say I think "she" is female, by...
