And a red type of plant I don't know the name of. It's the one in the picture that is getting terrorized by algae.

I am running two light fixtures one at 10000k and the other at 6700k.
It's a 46Gal bow front so it's pretty tall.
Just Iron and excel.
Do i spot treat with H202 in the tank or do I pull plants out for that?
I will do a large water change and clean the decaying leaves off the java fern.
Anyone know this algae? And how to combat it? I’ve lower lights down to 6 hours. I’m dosing weekly with iron and excel. I’m doing weekly 30% water changes.
I cleaned the impeller no luck. Same flow. Could the media inside the canister slow it down? I have from bottom to top. Sponge pad > ehim filter media > scrubber pads. That’s it.
Hey guys so I have an ehim 2215 for a heavily planted 46 gal bowfront. Over the last two months it seems that flow has really slowed down. You can't see many particles going into the intake. I put my fingers near the intake and couldn't feel really anything of a pull on the water. The spray bar...
Eh. I would prefer not to do that to fish. The ammonia dosing has worked for me in the past. I think the high nitrites is slowing it down. I'll do a large water change today and keep the dosing of ammonia closer to 2ppm.
According to the fish less cycle guide that is what was purposed and worked for me in the past. Just wondering why it isn't working now. And yes new as in never on an established tank.
Hey guys. Getting back into the hobby after moving. I’m checking my tank right now. I started it the 18th of last month and right now the ammonia is converting however the nitrite is converting very slowly. Nitrates have been at 5.0 to 10.0 for awhile now. I’ve been having to do water changes a...
Pool filter sand is the answer. It's a white color. Easy to clean. Easy to maintain. It's a larger grain so the fish don't kick too much around. I've had PFS in all my tanks and I've never had an issue with gas pockets. It's cheap and available usually at ace hardware.
I am looking for several species of plants. My list is below. I am located at 59759. If you have some plants PM me a price including shipping.
Thanks!
