It's been a few days now and he's fine, I don't even know what one it was that 'died'. Anyway thanks for your reply and sorry for your loss. I had 3 neons die a little while back and I got a new one so now I have 5. And you don't happen to know about neon tetra breeding/pregnant behavior do you?

Will tonic salt or some other substance help him heal? Something that will kill bacteria and help the affected spots? Also the redness is mostly near the base of the Pectoral fins and has spread onto it some.
