Ok, platy just gave birth in community tank. I saw 3 fry - could be more that I didn't see. Then the platy kinda put herself into one of the plants, shook a few times and stopped moving. That was an hour ago. Now she's floating nose down but upside down in one spot-not moving her fins or...

I do have some floating plants. I'm not sure if there are any fry in there. I can't see any from the outside and I'm afraid to mess with it too much.

I no longer see the live one...I'm hoping she's just hiding and I have no idea how many live fry there are since I'm hoping they are hiding in the many plants in the tank.

UPDATE: I found a live one! They are way smaller than I thought they would be. So I'm not sure if any other survived. Will the fry eat the food I put in the tank or do I need to do something special for him, assuming he survives?

I've read that breeder nets or tanks can be really stressful on the fish. I was just going to keep her in the tank and hope a few fry survive. I bought the floating plants and other bushy plants for the bottom of the tank for fry hiding spots.

Yes, her top fin is up. All other fish appear to be healthy.
