Since I was 2 weeks old I have had goldfish(same ones today!) And they started out in a 7 gallon tank. Then we only had two but one turned out to be a koi carp so grew to a foot fast. We just kept upgrading and to this day I am still upgrading for my 20 odd year old fish. I would just let him...
For heating if I had two i would probably only go for 75 or 100 watts(only my opinion though stick with what you feel comfortable with). Under the filters should spread the heat around the tank nicely especially as there would be two. You have thought about this a lot ,I'm impressed. Good luck
Could be or maybe a dwarf gourami? Never seen their fry but if you have males and females its possible. I would just leave it and see what happens. Make sure it doesnt get in the tank incase it is dangerous but it could grow into a nice fish. If it doesnt grow or multiply you could just leave it...
Just to add the filter placement sounds good but I would try to put the heaters near them so they will be more effective. I would also put the filters as far away from each other as possible to maximise the flow around the tank.
Just as my first thought the heating and filtration sound a bit of over kill. Then again it makes it more reliable but keep an eye on the temperature while doing fishless cycle as two heaters can ,in my experience, cause the water to overheat. It all sounds great but why not try some live...
Daphnia are good for fish with small mouths as a live food. Mine eat cucumber courgette apple bloodworms daphnia algea wafers and flakes and all seem to be doing well.
If they did get out of hand you could introduce a snail eating fish such as a clown loach or a smaller,in most cases, more suitable option such as a zebra loach or yoyo loach.
Sorry cant get a photo through the water.just to mention i am planning to move the cichlid and some larger mollies and clown loaches to a bigger tank soon.
I cant see her skeleton as she is a rust sorta colour. My tank is around100l and has 5 female sailfin mollies 2 male sailfin mollies 1 male balloon and around 15 guppies plus babies. I have a bristlenose plec a baby hoplo catfish one small parrot cichlid and four baby clown loaches who are...
I have noticed my fabourite molly (called Jane after a friend) has been sitting on the bottom or behind the filter and not eating. She looks thin and scrawny and i am worried about her. What hasnt helped is my male keeps trying to breed with her (despite four other females) so i am going to buy...
Look for a black spot near her tail. Their bodies are always that shape but they have a black spot that gets darker the closer they are to giving birth.
If you bought them like this they may just be balloon mollies. If they have grown then expect babies within the next two weeks probably closer to one week than two.
