I have a Icecap 430 Ballast, brand new, and for some reason cannot get the thing to work. One light will flash and then go off. Have checked and double checked the wiring and think it is correct. I have enclosed some pics. Ignore the middle light as it is not hooked up and will not be used. Any...
Good morning all. I decided to install lighting myself. I bought an Icecap ballast kit but have a few questions. One, the ballast will be mounted on the outside but do I need to install a fan for the ballast or inside for the lights. There will be two T-12 bulbs. Also, the power cord has...
Just starting my first FOWLR tank. I want to purchase Key Largo dry rock from Marcorocks. Since it is a new tank I will cure it in the DT. I have read conflicting articles about dry rock and want to make sure that this rock will become live rock. Dry rock is cheaper than live rock and will...
Just to verfiy, this rock needs to be cured and will become live rock. It is a lot less in price and I want to make sure this is the same as "wet" rock and will work in a FOWLR tank.

I am looking at installing lights in my canopy for a 75g FOWLR and suggestions of how many lights I should put in. Right now I am thinking about 2 VHO, one blue and one white. Will this be enough lighting or should I go to three or four? Thanks
Being new I am not completely sure how to set this up. There are two holes on the bottom, I am assuming one for intake and one for return. Are there tubes that actually connect to these holes on the top side? If anyone has any pictures to I can see what it looks like before I start purchasing...
That is the way I am leaning but just wanted to make sure that is what it was. I was also going to have a reservoir tank next to my wet/dry filter to help maintain water levels.
Looking at some tank photos I noticed that some tanks have a black box usually attached to the back wall. Is this an overflow box and do the tubing for a filter attach to the bottom of the box? If so, does this look better than having tubes showing in the tank?
Starting a 75g FOWLR tank with canopy and looking at a AquaticLife T5HO 4-lamp fixuture w/Lunar LEDs light. Is this too much lighting for this tank? Any suggestions would be helpfull. Thanks in advance
