Hi all. The LED lights that I have on my 20Gallon say that they can support low lighting plants. Is this just ferns and moss?? Also, before I switch over to live plants, I want to change my substrate. Would sand be better for plants or gravel?? Thank you
20 High, no its perfect, I have it in the corner opposite the filter aimed towards the center front, so that it all goes back over to the filter. It helps a lot with water quality, and the fish aren't bothered by it at all. I turn it off during feedings, but it's on all the time otherwise
Another thing worth mentioning is if you have a petco nearby, they do a dollar a gallon sale around Black Friday, any tank from 10 to 55 gallons is 1$ per gallon! I grabbed my 20 high during that sale

I don't have a dedicated fish room, our 20Gallon and 1 gallon are both in the dining room of our place. Our cats seem bored with the fish, they just go after the food now because I think they believe the bags and container have kitty treats

Hi all, so I just did a water change on my 20G FW tank. I was thinking about doing two changes a week to assist water quality. Do a 5 gallon change, every Tuesday and Friday, but I'm also worried that may be too frequent of water changes. Can anyone offer insight?
