My red jewels are starting to breed. I put them in a 30 gal tank by their selves because they were going to kill everything else! Question-if I only keep male jewels will they still fight? Thanks for any imput.

Hi guys. Ended up putting the fish in my 30 gal, 30 gal fish in a 5 gal and tore the the 55 tank down!!!! I rinsed the gravel in de-chlor, and everything else too. Put it all back together and it is now cycling with drops of ammonia each day. Even after all those huge water changes, and gravel...

If no ammo-lock, can I use one of the poly-filters to help with the ammonia? I have been doing water changes every day faithfully. I tested afterward and the ammonia was still very high.

salt Dont you use salt in your aquarium all the time? Then for the ICK add 2 t more of salt to that?

:confused: Please HELP !!!! 55 GAL 6 new cichlids. One red has tail rot, hiding but still eating. I put in Melafix to help. Later in the day noticed others starting ICK. Now what??? Do the melafix for 6 more days or quit and put in Ick meds??????
