My friend finally brought over the SW tank she is selling us and we are eager to get it set up and cycling. Only problem is that we do not have a large enough container to mix the whole 65 gallons of water. We have four 5 gal buckets. So, how can we do this? I found vids on youtube that...

Heater is on the right, where the fish hang out. and filter is on the right. I thought it may be because of the filter, but the same fish were all over the tank when they were in a 29 g.

I am wondering, anyone else have fish that just hang out on one side of the tank? I have a 55g tank and all my fish hang out on the right side. Why would something like that happen?

My rubber liped pelco survived a six hour bout in a dry bag a few weeks ago. I had moved him and others from mt 29 gal to my 55 gal and I was a bit rushed and missed him somehow. oh and? when you have a nine year old, all the fish get names and they are all named after cartoon characters. :lol:

I had one years ago and would love another one! One thing I recall is that they like tunnels. Get one of those clear tube things for him to hide out in, or better, make him a little rock cave in the back corner.

Thanks for the tips. We do not even get the tank till next week, and it has to cycle and all. It has live sand, so that should help with cycling. I was just looking for some good beginner fish to research.
