don't you have to seperate the male and female babies so the males dont kill each other? I heard somewhere that they start getting aggressive early in life.

My goodness, java fern, java moss, all i'd need a little java mocha and i'd be set. Would i have to use driftwood? It won't grow in the ground?

Yeah, but i like betta's, want him to be happy. Plus, i'm gonna put real plants in, see if i can get 'em growing. A nice pretty betta swimming amongst the live plants has to be nice to look at.

The only other fish place near me, is a little aquarium store in a strip mall, and (last i checked, awhile ago) they kept their betta's on a shelf, in little jars. So, doubt that's any better than a cup :D I can't beleive i used to keep my betta's in those little hexagonal tanks that hold like...

Just stick a bubble stone down the tube, the air bubbles will cause the water to get sucked up, and water to get sucked down through the gravel and back up through the tube. I got a cheap little hexagonal aquarium too, no clue how big, cant be no more than 2 gallons. Pretty cool...lol
