    Cherry Grouper

Right now I have a 5" Panther grouper, 4 1-2" Undulated trigger, and about a 10" snowflake eel in my 55 gal tank. However, I own and am working on putting together my 225 gal tank. Then I will have major decisions to make on what to keep in it and then convert the 55 into something else. I...

What happened to our Lionfish (not eating)

Looking for any thoughts as why our lion-fish suddenly quit eating 3 weeks ago and has consequently passed on. Nothing in the tank set up was changed , I just noticed a few weeks ago that when I was feeding the tank , he was not interested in eating . I tried buying a fresh bag of krill and...

    Lots of air bubbles?

Also had a loose connection on the spout/nozzle coming off the return line into the tank Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Lots of air bubbles?

I wasn't keeping the reservoir water level up high enough in mine, so when water flowed over the sides into the return pump sections it produced all those micro bubbles that got sucked up into the return pump and spit back out into the display tank. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Something to be concerned about?

More rookie questions about the anemone in our 29g cube...it had nestled in the sand for a week+, but has since removed itself and is floating around now. Tank stats and questions...ammonia 0, trites 0, trates 40, pH 8.1, SG .0123, temp 80. Have been battling the Cyanobacteria (I think, or have...

    Something to be concerned about?

I do have an option of taking the anemone out of the cube and putting it in our 55 gal reef tank that is more mature - a year old +/- a month. It has a porcupine puffer, lion fish, and two blue fin damsels. The black clowns in the cube seem to care less about the anemone. Sent from my iPhone...

    Something to be concerned about?

Thanks so much for the guidance, you also mentioned lighting. Should we leave the light off for extended periods of time. It has the regular light that we turn on in the day (about 10 hours) then switch it to the blue setting overnight. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Something to be concerned about?

I am sure we probably overfeed, so we will cut that back. It's on my calendar to change water out today. Is there any special precautions I should take when changing? What are other protocols for my conundrum? Is a clean up crew on the sand and live rock in order? Sent from my iPhone using...

    Something to be concerned about?

These have just popped up in our cube. Not sure what they are, to be concerned or not, and what to so about them. 28 gal cube, running about a month now, two black clowns and an anemone in the tank. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

What is wrong with my fish?

I've had fish for 1 1/2 years, not sure if it was live caught or tank raised. The fish has been in the tank the entire 1 1/2 years. Tanks mates since Dec. 26 are porcupine puffer, lion fish, and cleaner wrasse. Fish bus not currently eating right now, just picks at sand every so often. Normally...

Returning member after emergency leave...need quick help with new tank

Follow up and conclusion.... Ended up waiting as long as I could while I acclimated my other fish that night to my 55 reef tank. Kids slept great but I lost the sleep battle that day. When I finished up that night it was 3a.m. and I had already been up since 7p.m. the day before (32 hours), but...
