Hmm, that's a great suggestion! I've heard of "end of tank" dumps into your aquarium.. That would definitely resolve that problem.

Thanks for all your suggestions! I purchased the Finnex Fugeray planted 12" LED light. I figured it's better for my plants to have this light then the other stronger lights you posted for the shimmer effect. Hopefully it works out!

The tank is 8 gallons actually, but I do see your point.. Not enough water left to mix well with untreated water. Looks like I'll stick with to the bucket method.

I just ordered a bottle of Seachem Potassium, so hopefully that resolves my issue. An online fertilizer calculator said I need to use 4ml of potassium 2-4 times a week. Does this sound right to you?

I think you might have misread my post about lighting. I go for 4 hours on, then 4 hours OFF, then 5 hours on again. Yeah 13 hours would be crazy haha.
