Well, I woke up this morning and found the fish belly up attached to my filter's strainer. Apparently the trauma of yesterday was too much. I have another Red Tetra in there that's the same size. I think I'll wait on putting that decoration back in until it grows some more. Later!

I have a question for you. Did you add a bacteria starter like Bio-Spira already? Nitrates at 20 ppm would seem to indicate that. If you did or plan to I agree with everyone else. Use Bip-Spira, life will be much easier.

So I can assume that your plants are live as opposed to fake?

Evaporation When you say last Saturday do you mean this past Saturday (4 days ago) or the Saturday before (11 days ago). 2 inches sounds extreme for such a large tank in only 3 days. But I tend to agree that the loss is mostly due to evaporation. I find I have to top off my water about once...

Thanks myriam for the suggestion. I checked otos out and everyone that has them does seem to love them. When it comes time to get some new fish I'll consider maybe getting some of them to top off my tank. I really want to add Purple Dragon guppies but everyone seems to be sold out! :( Later!!
