Greetings, I'm starting a new tank.

There's the freshwater tank showcase thread in the freshwater forums.

I dont think my Brackish tank is cycled

Did you treat your water before adding it when you did your water change?

Greetings, I'm starting a new tank.

http://www.seriouslyfish.com/news.php That's where I get a lot of my info. But there's plenty of other places out there that give fishy facts. And if you have any specific questions I'm sure there will be someone here that has hands on experience with the species.

    One platy picking on another?

I completely agree. And no, it wouldn't leave room for much else.

You do have to watch out for ph drops too. Calcium does funny things to water.

I would try treating and testing the water straight from the source. My ammo goes to a .25 every time I do a water change just from the chloramines in the local water.

Wouldn't you have to be careful with the live rock though? I would think it would alter the sg of the tank...

    Tying anubias to skinny driftwood.

I use black or brown sewing thread. It blends in pretty well and evenually errodes.

    too many fish??

You could do that. You would have to add a bit more gravel. And whatever new filter you get you just put the sponge/mesh part of your old filter in front so you don't lose bacteria.

    55g FW Community Stock?

Just added 32 inches of bubbles to the back of the tank. They seem to school quite nicely once you scare the "carp" out of them!

    too many fish??

Awww! I love my albinos corys. They glow under the blue light. :-)

I took to long to type... everyone beat me to the punch... :(

    too many fish??

You could keep him in there for a while. They are indeed a smaller than normal pleco. Being that they only get around 7". You could keep him for bit if you're planning on getting a bigger tank someday. Like in the next year or so. As far as adding corys with a pleco I wouldn't. There's not...
