Is it normal not to be able to find rams in LFS'?

I've decided I'd rather have a freshwater tank for now, the expenses to get a SW tank going and the size I'd probably want it at aren't feasible for me right now. Not to mention FW seems more newbie friendly. Thanks anyways.

Im just a newbie (so take what I say as a grain of salt), but it seems you need a higher wattage bulb. That should help the plants grow and perhaps neutralize some algae growth. The plants seem to help speed up cycling a lot, so try to keep them healthy ;p Got any pics?
