I would assume that if your catfish was being picked on at the store than that would be the cause of your frayed fins. Keep a close eye on it though. The catfish’s whiskers should grow back although I’m not sure how fast.

I think it would be extremely unlikely as ramshorn snails are quite slow. I highly doubt that you would another problem. Any healthy fish should be completely fine. I think your dwarf Cory incident was an anomoly, and the Cory could have been sick which allowed the snail to get unto him.
Be careful with pictus catfish because once they get big enough they may eat smaller fish. Also silver dollar can get quite big, I’m not sure how big but they will probably out grow that tank eventually. Also be careful with silver dollars as they enjoy eating freshwater plants. I know African...
