Does anyone know how you can tell if a puffer is male or female?

I want to make sure I'm feeding my inverts the right stuff and enough of it. Any suggestions? I have a 55 gallon tank with 2 medium size anemones a one small anemone. I also have a flowerpot coral and a couple of different types of mushrooms. Last but not least, I have lots of filter feeding...
