We put some new live rock in the tank on Sat. Yesterday I noticed these long denticles moving sand under the rock. They are approx. the diameter of fishing line. Clear for the most part, somewhat opaque. Some of them are two or more inches long and they come from one area like spoke on a wheel. Anybody have a clue? Are they good, bad, or indifferent?

Trying to add pic to follow.

OK, been doing some research. I think what we have may be a spaghetti worm. Anybody know if this sounds right? Also, still don't know if they are good or bad?

Sounds like it could be a spaghetti worm in both cases. They are quite beneficial detrivors and completely harmless

Cheers

Thanks for the info and the pics. Pretty sure it's a spaghetti worm. Glad to know for one I have gotten a useful hitcher!
