What made you deside to get the size tank you have

I am just now in the process of setting up my first SW tank. I live in an apartment so I couldn't go to big, but wanted to go big enough to have a variety of fish, so I have my 55g long with a 20g sump. This should keep me going for a while, untill I move out of the apartment. Then maybe I will...

So after looking again, I would drop the tang, the anthia, and maybe the dottyback. I want to keep 3 chromis, because I believe they are "schoolers." I will...

Starting a 55g Fowlr (possibly future reef) with 20g sump. I plan to have about 40-50 lbs of live rock. This is my stocking list, in order of how I would stock them. Going by the rule of thumb I heard of 1 in. of fish per gallon....(if this is true) (Adult...

    HOB skimmer for sump?!?!

O.K. This has me scratching my head. I am setting up a 55g fowlr (future reef) with a 20g sump. The sump is not drilled, no bubble trap, has 3 sections; 1) intake with filter/drip tray/maybe live rock in future 2) decent size area for protien skimmer/heater 3) section for return pump The...
