Can I ask what ur set up is? What are you using filter, light fert wise etc. the more info the better. I think every beginner should start small like this. Really looks great again.

I also have my lights on 5 off 3 on 5. They say this helps reduce the time for the algae to grow. Hope this helps

Plants are amazing. It just looks great and benefits your tank in multiple ways. Important thing is to really research the plants u will buy before u do. I spent more money on going through plants rather than fish. Plants, like fish, will behave differently in different environments.
