I think they are beneficial when they are small but when they grow big they may start to eat things you don't want them too here is a picture of the one i removed from my tank

i have a 100 gal tank and got my balas when they were about 2.5" about a year and a half ago they are now about 6" hopefully that will give you an estimate, but this is truly a case of "your millage may vary"

it is a cpr bak pak 2 skimmer i would sell all three of them for 80$

one PH is a peguin 550 the other is a regent powerhead

i have a via aqua 55w power compact lighting system it has two 21" 55w bulbs i can only find 65w bulbs will they work with my ballast? How many hours are these bulbs good for? thanks

thanks that really puts it into perspective i decided not to put it in my tank not because of chemicals i would have made it with silicone but because i could not make it perform steadily
