I like darker substrate.. I have white in my reef tank... but for the fresh stuff I prefer darker.. here's one with a light blue gravel and a light blue back ground.. kind of a compromise... I have another with jet black sand ... I don't have pictures of it here.. I'll post them another...

mine has plenty... but the DT is clean.. when it gets long I grab a hand full and "export" it right into the trash ......mine's a moth trap as well...

you'll defiantly need that heater... I'm from Reading Ma.. my house was 56 (inside ) last /Saturday morning (I'm not turning on the heat until Halloween!). ... have you been to Oceans in Glass in Salem N.H... their live rock, coral and fish are top notch..

I can see your concern...and appreciate the advise ( others have also advised like wise..) and I have thought about it.. my tank has many.. nooks and crannies and caves for shelter should trouble break out.. also the tank has soft corals, zoa's and an anemone( none of the clowns show any...
